Elizabeth (Beth) Lyons

My name is Elizabeth A. Lyons - I go by "Beth".  I was born and raised in Minnesota.   I am a veteran of the United States Air Force.  I was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage Alaska.  After my duty in Alaska, I headed south to a warmer climate and I landed in Springfield Missouri.  I attended Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University). I graduated in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Wildlife and Park Management and a minor in soil evaluation.  In 1990 I took a position working at the local newspaper in Springfield owned by the Gannett Corporation, as an advertising sales executive.  Granted not the job that I envisioned as a Park Ranger or Wildlife Photographer - but it paid the bills and I enjoyed working with such a diverse group of people.  In 1997 the opportunity came to transfer to Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida. Again I found myself in advertising sales, but would later move into the production side of the newspaper business.  In April of 2012 I retired after 22 years of working for the Gannett Corporation. I have enjoyed retirement at home in my garden and spending time to do some traveling.

In June of 2013 I became a licensed Florida Real Estate agent.  My life was headed in another direction and a new chapter to life was about to begin.   I joined the Melbourne Beach Properties team in July of 2013, a great group of seasoned real estate professionals that have inspired me to list and sell properties here on beach-side and the mainland.
